As you plan your development projects for 2025, don't forget you need to build in time for your Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessments.

The legislation, which came into effect last year, is applicable to you if you're:

🌿A Developer of a major development

🌿A Developer of a small site

🌿A Developer of a nationally significant infrastructure project (from late November 2025)

🌿A Land Manager wanting to sell in the BNG market

🌿Work for a Local Planning Authority

BNG will add an extra layer of process and thought to your designs and ultimate works, BUT, it has a huge benefit for nature, biodiversity and the community in which you're working.

With a focus on long-term improvement, a 30-year commitment for monitoring and managing the habitat is required to ensure the improvement to biodiversity is achieved long-term.
