What do you do when you need to remove a tree but you can't access it?

Bring in the mechanised arboriculture equipment of course! As part of our role on the highways SDF (scheme delivery framework), we recently had to remove a tree on the M42 to enable some fencing work to take place.

As you can see from the photos, the tree was near a body of water, and access was an issue. Using the mech arb kit we managed to work at distance to remove the tree in a safe and efficient way.

Removing the risk to the operatives of exposure to working at height, hand-arm vibration at work, manual handling, air and noise pollution. Mech arb is also a sustainable option, as the amount of operatives and kit involved on a job is reduced, therefore less journeys to site are required, meaning reduced carbon emissions on the job.
