Over the past year, we're been working on an ongoing biodiversity scheme along a Site of Specific Scientific Interest on the A303 Salisbury to Beacon Hill.

The work involved clearing all trees and shrubs, then hydroseeding the cleared areas - approximately 90,464m². Hydroseeding is a way of distributing seeds, it controls erosion, promotes quick germination, reduces soil compaction, retains moisture, enhances biodiversity, suppresses dust, and is cost-effective, contributing to sustainable landscaping and land rehabilitation.

The photos show where we sprayed 35,845m² with wildflowers. We had a large area to cover, on-site, we had an 8-tonne excavator, Robocutter, winches, tractors, whole tree chippers, herbicide applications, a T90 & T60 HydroSeeder with a 44-tonne water tanker, and crews with hand tools.

All work was undertaken at night. We loved working on this project as it was full of collaborations. We worked alongside our sister company Chevron Traffic Management who provided all the traffic management support. Due to the large scale of the works we also had assistance from our supply chain too.
