We've been working on the A303 recently, removing trees that have been affected by Ash dieback. These removals have all been undertaken by mechanised arboriculture.
When it comes to site clearance and tree works, mechanised arb brings a range of advantages that traditional methods simply can’t match. Particularly for trees with Ash dieback which are brittle and unsafe to remove using traditional climbing methods, mechanised arb is a game-changer.
The benefits include:
✅ Safety - reducing the need for climbing or manual handling means fewer risks to operatives, especially on complex or large-scale projects.
✅ Sustainability - mechanised arb reduces the time machinery needs to be running on site, which helps lower fuel consumption and emissions. It also minimises ground disturbance and allows for more targeted, low impact works, protecting surrounding habitats wherever possible.
✅ Efficiency - machines like MEWPs, chippers and grapple saws allow teams to complete works faster and more safely, particularly in hard-to-access or high-risk areas.
✅ Precision - specialist equipment makes it easier to target specific branches, reduce impact on surrounding vegetation and maintain control during removal.
✅ Consistency - machinery enables a cleaner, more uniform finish across the site which is ideal for projects that require a high standard of presentation or follow-up construction.
We bring mechanised solutions to a wide range of sites, from highways and utility infrastructure to private estates, making it easier for you to stay on track and meet requirements.
