Last week, teams from Chevron Green Services and Chevron Green Consultancy joined forces to support our friends at The Species Recovery Trust.
The day formed part of our bi-annual Field Cow-wheat monitoring and habitat management on a site off-network in Hampshire. This site is one of only four in the country where Field Cow-wheat is growing.
For Field Cow-wheat to thrive, we've been developing the optimum relationship between scrub and grassland, allowing the plant to establish the correct parasitic relationships. We have now created 19 interlocking strips of grassland and scrub.
These strips should provide optimum conditions for Field Cow-wheat to flourish on this site over the next decade and offer better protection against climate change.
Our annual 'team relaxing against a fence' photo was captured once work was completed for the day.
