Today we're showcasing one of our Quantity Surveyors, Elizabeth Hemborough.
Elizabeth started her career as a business admin apprentice in local authorities before becoming a Civil Engineer. In February 2022, she joined the Chevron Group as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor before joining Chevron Green Services in November 2022 and being promoted to Quantity Surveyor.
Elizabeth covers the South and South West of England, working on projects including HS2, National Highways SDF Contract, Maintenance and Repair Contracts from Penzance to A3 in Portsmouth and up to the M40 near Oxford as well as minor works projects.
The role of the QS is vital within the team; Elizabeth liaises with clients to ensure prompt payment and works closely with Operations to enhance the commercial aspect of our schemes. She works on client applications and invoices and identifies any payment differences.
A crucial part of Elizabeth's role is building strong relationships with clients to help encourage repeat work. Elizabeth says, "I love the people and the range of contracts I work on. Never a boring day; always people you can lean on if you need help! I tend to work from home, but I love having the opportunity to visit different depots and clients within the role. I also love the flexibility of the role and having the freedom to suggest and improve processes."
If you'd like to join our Chevron Green Services family, we currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Manager based in the Midlands.
