Summer is always a busy time for Chevron Green Services, with grass-cutting underway around the country.
Recently, we were appointed to maintain the network in the Southwest. Working in a new area is exciting, but it brings challenges with it too. Whilst cutting the central reservation on the M5, we encountered several hidden barrier posts, which were less than ideal as they slowed us down!
Overall the job took us two weeks but now we know the road, it should be a faster job next year. We used a tractor with a front flail and barrier mower, following up with a small van carrying a strimmer crew.
All our traffic management on this project is provided by our sister company Chevron Traffic Management. It's great to work together on this, making for a much more streamlined operation for our clients.
You might see our team out on the M4 at the moment; then we move to the M48, which links England and Wales via the Severn Bridge, the M49, which connects the M4 and the M5 and finally, the A40.
