We’ve had a fantastic year working on so many jobs around the country for our clients.
In January, we were carrying out hedge reductions on the A47 in the Midlands. Throughout one shift, we used two teams to get the work done.
To make sure we cause as little disruption to road users as possible, we worked through the night on the job within a static enclosure. The supporting traffic management used traffic lights to manage the traffic.
Team one focused on reducing the light vegetation using a John Deere 6155R tractor with a hedge flail attached. Our arborists dealt with any substantial growth using a tracked MEWP (mobile elevated work platform). The waste was chipped on site.
Team two worked on vegetation reduction, using a 14-tonne digger with a forestry mulching head attached.
