Emergency tree removal on the A21 sees layby re-open within four hours

Would you believe it...planning our works, getting access to the roads and supporting traffic management is a tricky business.

Often works are coordinated between several contractors to ensure that the road user experiences as little disruption as possible.

But when nature is involved, sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Recently, we got an emergency call from our clients looking after the A21. A tree had partially fallen down and was causing a blockage in a layby. We arrived at the scene, had the full tree down, chopped up and removed within four hours, enabling the layby to reopen again.
