Crowborough team clear an overgrown balancing pond near A27

Our team at the Crowborough depot recently tackled the clearance of an overgrown balancing pond just off the A27 near Worthing.

Blocked drainage from the A27 was causing flooding in the area, and a full site evaluation was needed before remedial works could take place. To gain access to all assets, the balancing pond had to be cleared first.

As you can see from the photo, the vegetation was extremely dense. Our team used a robo flail, a tracked chipper, and hand tools to complete the work in just four days.

The client’s site supervisor was highly impressed with the outcome and submitted a ‘good health and safety observation’ for our work. We also received positive feedback from both our client and their client, which is always great to hear.
