We exhibited at Highways UK this year with our sister companies Chevron Traffic Management and HRS. For many, it’s the industry highlight of the year with so much innovation on show.
We’ve been delighted with the sustainability and green measures on show this year, not least by the industry-changing EMCC (Enhanced Mobile Carriage Closure) showcased by our sister company Chevron TM. It’s a new system for slowing the traffic down to pass a closure without the traffic needing to be diverted off the carriageway. Not only is it an incredibly safe option, it is also an incredibly sustainable option, ensuring road users do not have to drive further than necessary through a diversion route.
Our innovative Ecospheres, are a great way of using green waste to encourage biodiversity in areas which might otherwise be lacking it, such as workplaces and depots. In addition, reusing materials rather than disposing of them is also far better for the environment.
It feels exciting to be part of a group of companies that are invested in a greener future. We can’t wait to see what other sustainable ideas are coming into our industry over the next few years.
