This week we're delighted to be profiling our recently promoted Senior Arboricultural Consultant, Leo Stringer.
Leo joined our Chevron Green Consultancy team in August 2022, having spent the past 30 years and his whole career in Arboriculture. Leo has a vast range of experience in all aspects of the industry, working as a lead climber in various sectors, including; local authorities, utilities, rail, highways and private clients.
With a brief hiatus as an ice climbing instructor in New Zealand, most of his work has always revolved around trees. In addition to his arb qualifications, he is a qualified LOLER inspector and, more recently, a Professional Tree inspector.
"Working for Chevron Green Consultancy is fantastic. As part of a close-knit team, I have the luxury of working with colleagues with a broad and knowledgeable base across the Arboricultural and Ecological industries. Sharing knowledge is a great way to help us all develop in our roles. I have recently been promoted to Senior Arboricultural Consultant and look forward to all the challenges this new role will present."
Leo can currently be found carrying out highway woodland surveys in the East of England. His work takes him all over the country, carrying out tree inspections, hazardous tree surveys and any other aspects of arboricultural inspection work that our clients and colleagues may need.
Leo's passion for trees also extends to his hobbies; when he's not looking at trees, he likes to spend his time foraging for wild food around them or photographing the wildlife that lives among them.
